23rd October is Mission Sunday. The Mission Awareness Team will be handing out prayer cards to all parishioners for the occassion. The card is a prayer and blessing from Pope Benedict XVI for World Mission Sunday 2011.
A blessing will also be given to all parishioners at the Mission Sunday mass as a sign of us being sent out as missionaries, our call as Catholics.

Testimonies: Prayer Pledge Card II
"My prayer for 2 persons to come closer to Christ is showing signs of improvement for 1 of them.”
“I can’t see any result so far. But the encouragement of praying for them is never ceasing.”
“I have started through organizing rosary prayer at the person’s residence. I and the other family members prayed but the person opted not to pray together. It was difficult. However I don’t give up because I know the congregation is praying for me.”
“With the prayer pledge card I have been constantly reminded of my responsibility to witness Christ to others. I pray for the 2 persons everyday. I have become more compassionate and less judgmental . I begin to trust God more, that He will touch them…”
